I just spoke to the vet, and he said that the new food is too low in fat for some of the cats, so we need to feed them seperately. Amanda just needs more calories in her diet and she'll be fine. I feel releived.

Amanda may have to see the vet this weekend. She's starting to loose weight. She's down to 9 1/2 pounds. I'm calling this afternoon to ask him if this is a cause for concern. Candy is about the same weight and I'm worried for both of them. Amanda had her blood work done in December and her liver function was a little high.
She spent most of the night last night with me on the bed cuddling. She likes to hide under my bed or cuddle with me on the bed at night. She's energetic and loving and I want to keep her with me for a very long time. She is ten years old, which makes her a senior cat (56 in human terms). She is not a finicky eater, so I can't figure why the weight loss.
Addendum -- I spoke with the vet and he doesn't want to see her yet. He'd rather deal with just Candy for now.
