Candy thinks she's clever. She tried to steal my milk but I caught her on film. Hmm, can you call it catching someone on film if it's with a digital camera? I mean, there isn't any actual film involved is there?

I just spoke to the vet, and he found nothing wrong, neither in the examination nor in the blood work, except that she has too little fat in her diet. We need to simply change her food and she'll be fine. I feel releived.

I wish I was starting this with good news, but I'm quite worried about Candy. She's starting to loose a lot of weight. She's about 9 - 9 1/2 pounds now and I don't know if that's normal for a cat. I have to call the vet this afternoon to find out. Amanda weighs about the same, so perhaps this is just part of the aging process. Candy is 12 now, which would be about 64 in human years - she's a senior cat. Amanda is 10, also a senior. That's about 56 in human terms.
She's taking to drinking water from the bathroom sink, not her water bowl, so we got her a water fountain. Took her a little while to get used to it, but she likes it, although she still prefers the sink. We had her blood work done four months ago and her kidneys were fine then, so I'm hoping it's not going to be kidney failure, like what happened to Taffy, her litter mate.
Addendum -- she's going to see the vet Sunday morning to run her blood, but this might be related to her diet. If it is, we'll have to augment her food seperately.
